New to Champaign county

    I just moved to champaign county not too long ago and have been curious were the good local spots are. im originally from livingston county so I dont know much about the lay of the land down here. Thanks ahead of time (assuming I even get some replys...lol)

    Mykal, welcome to Champaign county. Its a big corn field.:smile2: I go to Clinton Lake mostly... that about 25 or 30 miles for you. Moraine View State Park North of Leroy is nice fishing area. Again about 30 miles. Other than the river, the parks are about it. Sorry.:sad2:

    Your also close to the vermillion river, I have heard there are some mighty cats lurkin in those waters. If ya ever need a fishin buddy let me know. I live in Mclean county, Normal, so champaign is not to far from me.

    The Vermilion river over in Vermilion County holds a lot of channels and the strip mines at Kickapoo state park are good also for channels. Good luck
