I live in the Santee Cooper region, closer to the lower lake. Any basic info about the sport that you might have to share would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Welcome Tripp. I know you will enjoy the BOC and jump in there and post away. Before long you will be saying," Hi my name is Tripp and I am a BOCaholic":)

If you have any specific questions be sure to get out there and ask!

    Welcome to the BOC, Tripp!!!
I don't fish that area but there are quite a few that do. They will chime in sooner or later.
I would like to tell you what I use hrer in KY. I use 7'M/H rods with mostly ABU Garcia reels ranging from 6000's to 7000's, 20 to 40lb line, 3 to 8oz
    no-roll slip sinkers,,50# to 80# leaders and 7/0 to 10/0 Kahle hooks.
Bait choices here are cut Skipjack, Cut or live shad, Bluegill cut or live.
