well if ya want some nice ones use cut bluegill or cut shad,u have to get used to how catfish bite.u can go practice with liver on some channel cat.how fresh r u at catfishing?need to know about where ur at in the sport.:big_smile:

Yea - Tim is right on the money / all that you need to know about Catfishing & getting started in doing so, is there.
That is a question that can be answered in a thousand ways. There is no best way to catch em really, but some ways work better than others at different times. Try a carolina rig with some nightcrawler for starters. If you already know that when then throw on some chicken liver or stinkbait. If that doesn't work use live sunfish. These are just a few good ways to get cats in places where you know there are lots of cats as long as you have the gear and patience to wait them out.
