    Howdy,

Names Rob and new to this forum, going to try my hand at catfishing. Live around High Point, plan on fishing Tuckertown, High Rock and Yadkin River for cats. Got any recommendations for public access? My buddy and I neither have a boat, so mostly fish from shore. I've only been fishing at tuckertown but that was at the dam and I was on a boat fishing for crappie. Thanks for the welcome.

my main three rigs, okuma is used primarily for saltwater, 5500 for bass fishing. Look forward to learning from you guys.

Rob, welcome to the BOC! I fish 2 accesses on the Yadkin River. York Hill is off of 150 at 85, and Rte 64 has a public access (from 52 @ 3 miles towards Mocksville). I'm leaving the 64 access alone until spring (too shallow), but fishing at York Hill is fair.

Rob, welcome to the BOC/SOC :cool2:, best catfishing site on the web. Be sure to check out the library, a lot of good info in there. Don't know anything about your area but i'm sure some one can help you out.

Hi Rob! Welcome to the Brotherhood of Catfishermen family. Always glad to see another Carolina face around here !

I can't help you much with the Yadkin chain.....I've fished High Rock some, but always from a boat. But don't you worry, some of our nice NC brothers who DO fish it will be along with the right helpful info :cool2:.

Welcome Rob, no help for you in that area. But if you get down east give me a shout and we can chase some Reds/Trout. Maybe I'll get up that way someday! Looks like thats where the action is!
