I lived in SC for about 5 years and contrary to what people told me I caught bigger catfish there up to 18-19 lbs on cut herring and night crawlers. both boat and bank fishing. The best places for me were SC&G #3 and and out by the islands close to Larry Koon landing. catfish bass and crappie were all caught even though I had numerous people tell me there were no quality fish there anymore.

Disregard last post, wrong forum. I haven't fished Murray in probably close to 20 years. Last time I was on the lake was about six years ago. We had to outrace a storm from one side of the lake to the other. Not fun going that fast in a small boat for close to four hours.
