has anyone bought or used the new shimano baitrunners that replaced the B series? i checked them out at cabelas today and like the looks of them, the beefy knob on the handle seems nicer and the lever for the clicker is different. i have a couple of the old 4500b's and like the new design but don't know if i like it enough to shell out 170 bucks for one of equal size.

Romo has one and I've used it a few times.

It's a heavy reel and the baitrunner is not loud at all!

I've never actually heard a spinning real with a loud baitclicker. My penn is basically silent... Probably why it's called a live liner and not advertised as a bait clicker.

On the other hand, it feeds line sooo smooth and when a fish takes the bait, it offers 0 resistance to the run, which is super nice. I have better hook up rate on my penn spinner than my other baitcasters.

I lik really huge spinning reels.I hate to hear that the clicker isn't that loud. That's is a huge dissapointment. I'm wanting the 1200D.Only things I like about the reels is its more like a thunnus body,Had a large handle, and a improved drag.Things that I don't like is t wish it had a larger spool like the Big Baitrunner LC so I could cast farther.I still will probably end up getting one.If I don't like it.I will have 90 days to return it to cabelas.

I haven't heard any feedback on them yet, we've sold a few @ the bait shop I work @. I can tell you that they are a lot pricier than the previous models:sad2:

I never even heard of Tica until Steve said something.I just went to their website and they have some really nice spinning reels.I'm really liking the Tica Abyss TF reels. The spool and the bait clicker knob is what I like about it.Trying to see if I can get one sent to the US when they get In Stock. If not ill just get the Sportera.

What do you like most abou the Tica Baitrunners Steve?
