I have a new pet, well sort of anyway. While doing work outside the home the last couple days there has been a bat hanging on the side of my garage. We have been having some nice weather here in Pa. lately with temps. in the mid to upper 50's. The bat has been hanging in the warm sunlight. I thought these creatures didn't like light but maybe the warmth factor ruled out the light factor. I attached a photo.

yeah thats cool , my grand parents used to have one near their home down on nolin river in wax, ky . it was about 12" long id say , always hung on the power line near the security light where it fed on all the bugs drawn to the light i guess

iv always respected bats ever since i saw that movie "kujo" the rabbid dog

You keep him up your way. All kidding aside if it's around next summer it will help keep the skeeters down,or do you have them things up there.
Looks like it's pretty good sized. Bats have a bad reputation, but they are very helpfully also. Enjoy your new pet. What did you name it anyway?

Put some rocks in panty hose and throw it up in the air. Just kidding, someone will probably call PETA on me.
