well my dad my brother and some of my dads friends went catfsihing over the weekend. we were going to fish a dam. in a town (not saying the name) but known as the catfish capital of the north. for bait we brought frozen chubs, shrimp, smelt, and frogs. well here are the pics. DAY 1 day 1 was slow only bringing out 3 fish. the first fish a beautiful 12 lber. 2nd fish 1 hour later was an another cat 11 lbs then the sun set. bringing 1 more fish. my brothers weighing 7 lbs 5 oz. (pic taken next day) we started getting tired aftr the next hour so we left out rod out and slept not waking up till 9 the next morning. DAY 2 day was the best day of the 2. that morning we woke up after forgeting to go get our rods. we check the rods only 3 had gotton hits one was still on. we cranked the 3 up and one (my brothers again) had a fish a nice 6 lb cat. pic (day befores cat is on left) then we waited for hours then we started talking to aa guy that workjs in the town during the summer. the past 15 years he caught over 30 20 lbers and 3 30s. out of that area. and i asked THE question. where is the best spot for the big cats?.he told me behind a rock there are 3 trenches where big cats tend to sit. i cranked in a casted as far as i could toward them. and started talking to the guy again. then 5 minutes later my line was burning off the reel. i set the hook and after a while landed this beautiful 12 lb cat. i made back in that area and started talking to the guy again. and what do ya know 10 minutes late another burning run. and after a half hour battle i landed this cat a new pb at 22 lbs 6 oz!!! after that it was slow again landing 2 fish before 1 and then we left. (joeys biggest and my dads only cat of the trip) all these fish were on frogs.
