New personal best catfish!

    hey guys i just signed up not to long ago but i just wanted to let you know that i went fishing the other day and was fishing with a small bass head and hooked up with a 37lber with 14 lb test it was a great fight.. i will definately bring a camera next time!

    Goog job bud. It must have been nice on the 14lb test. I wish i could but pics up I caught my best the other day as well.

    was it a blue or a flathead due tell....give us some details....

    and be-careful not saying you did it...but it is against the law to destroy a game fish...

    If the wildlife officer sees that it may be misinterpreted.....

    Congratulations and welcome to the BOC, BigBlaze is correct I had a wildlife officer the other day tell me that he reads BOC post all the time. For a gamefish to be used as bait it has to have been caught legally and be of legal keeping size. If you caught it, it still counts against your daily limit, but only if you did everything legally can you use it for bait. If you net the fish , or if you use one that is not legal size to keep it is illegal to use for bait and you can be fined.

    You can use game fish for bait. All the laws governing them still apply though. What this means is, if there is a length limit on the fish, you can only use fillets. You need to have the carcass available for inspection if you get checked. In most places in NC there is a 14" minimum on LM Bass.

    Same deal in Saltwater..........
