New PB Flathead catfish

    Well, it is true that it is my PB, but at only 7lbs in weight, it's not saying much for my fishing skills!:roll_eyes: I'm new to flathead fishing and I'm lucky enough to have Kyle showing me the ropes. I went out to the river tonight for about three hours and caught two flatheads (7lb & 4.5lb) and one channel cat that wasn't worth a picture or weighing. The bigger flathead was caught on cut shad and the smaller one was caught on a bluegill. I was in the process of taking pictures with the first fish and turned around to see my other pole going crazy. Tossed the first back into the river and then tended to the second fish. A little chilly but not a bad evening overall. I think the water was warmer than the air temp.

    And yes, I need to work on my self-portrait skills

    don't worry about the big ones, they'll come, just a matter of putting in the time.

    P.S. you do realize it could be debated whether Kyle is a help or handicap! lmao :tounge_out:

    Nice job. You have caught more flats then me this year. Need to hit the perch pond.
