It's a cheap anchor float I stole from my 5 yr old in case I have to throw the anchor. There is quite a bit of stuff floating down right now and if a tree gets into the anchor rope I can just toss it for safety.

Good stuff Swamp!! You've been tearing them up lately!!. Anyway, since your boatless for a couple months, I wouldn't mind at all if you wanted to mount your 1197 on my rig so It'll get used to being mounted on a SeaArk.:smile2::cool2:

    Ryan,

I wish you had been too. I am sorry you weren't. I just didn't want to jeopardize the deal on the boat or freak him out. He didn't seem too thrilled about going out with two guys. He later said once we were talking he wished he hadn't said anything and you were here. I think we have a new gateway member in him though. He should be showing up here before long.

How did you do last night? Where did you guys end up going?

We went to CB and the fishing was slow to say the least. I screwed up and caught the first fish of the night so that pretty much sealed the deal in Rat's boat. I ended up catching 4 fish, the biggest being a 16 lb blue but I did catch an 11 lb channel that thought he was a Bass. It is a lot of fun watching those fish hit in shallow water. They come out of the water and start getting crazy on the surface.

    Congrats Swampy!

Thanks for the 4am wakeup picmail you sent to my phone. LOL! I'll get you back soon I hope!

Might have to pull out my Plattin Rock card and hit that stretch sometime.
