I had a good night last night on the ole MO river, Catching my new PB Bluecat! Of coarse I was by myself again! I took off from the boat ramp at about 445pm last night, pulled into the local creek and got some shad, a couple goldeye and an asian carp! Alter getting bait I headed up to a spot I found earlier in the summer I really wanted to try and had not had the chance to yet! I pulled in, cut up some bait and got my poles out and then started eatting my dinner! about 545pm my rod laid down in the rod holder and the drag started singing! I picked the rod up and gave it a good pull to make sure the hook was in deep! Thinking to myself...I have lost 3 nice fish this summer when I was by my self and didn't want it happen again... He pulled a bunch of line and finally turned toward the calm water, I was able to turn him toward me and get him up underneath the boat! He surface three times before I was able to dip him and drag him over the side of the boat! After cleaning up the mess the hog had made I weighed him, he weighed 44#s! I headed to the boat ramp to meet a buddy to get some pictures so i could get her back in the water! I ran in to another buddy of mine (craig) on the way to show her off! I took pictures and let her go! Later on that evening i got a phone call from Craig...he had to out do me again! He landed a 51 #er! I would have to say the big blues are feeding well! I ended up catching one more about 900pm the weighed just under 18 #s! Nothing like an Awesome night on the ole Mighty MO!
