I've been really discouraged with my results river fishing in the last year or so.I seem to be only good at catching trash fish like sturgeon, gar, buffalo and drum.I can usually catch channel cats but not blues.Didn't have much in the way of expectations going into last night's tournament. We hadn't caught a blue or flathead yet this year. But all that changed last night. At 12:00 went to sleep in the boat and I had only caught a sturgeon. I had only been asleep about 25 minutes when I was awakened by a screaming clicker that sound you guys talk about but I've never heard on my line.Hit a big ole frozen skipjack head on the Kaw.Must of run 20-30 feet of line out and still going.33 lb blue cat .... the first one I have caught in 25 years since I was a kid in Texas. Dennis caught a 61lb blue about an hour later.Pretty exciting stuff... 94 lbs. we finished 3rd out of 20 boats in the tournament.Great thanks to Dennis Boehm for showing me the ropes and all you guys that have taken me out Trager,Flathead Felkner,Trevor, Keith and Shelby. My stupid camera only made it back with 3 pics out of the 20 or so that were taken.Time to buy a new camera.Hope to bust my pb's 33 blue cat,40 flathead and 25 channel cat.

A 61 and a 33 I'll take those 2 fish in any tournament. Makes sitting in the cold foggy air with weight in the boat alot easier don't it?
