new pb 44lb blue catfish

    we caught 12 fish 5 blues 5 channels and 2 whites i caught my new pb blue weighed 44 lbs using weight formula based on girth and length and my partner quadrunner42029 caught one weighed 24 using same deal. all in all another good day on the water. and if anybody would like to compare there fish that has been wieghed on a good scale to my fish or and quadrunner42029's fish to let me know if were close on our weight formula untill we can get a good set of scales. thanks guys

    I wish I would have mesured this 35 lbr. it was real short but big around as a 50. I wonder if calculator would be accurate on odd fish like that.

    idk jerry i would like to know about the weights on alot of my fish and measurments but no scales yet but there coming but i did get me a cloth measuring tape its alot cheaper. really the reason i was makin sure that our formula was close was because some guide sent my partner a message saying that his big blue didnt weigh 50 lb and said it wasnt even close but now i know he is wrong. but thanks

    Very nice fish! The Blue in my Avitar is 47 if you want to compare. Looks like you've got the weight very close----congrats!

    you gona have that :wink: look at the 34 and the 35 in my earlier post, they look nothing alike. BPS has spring scales for 24.99 weighs to 100 lbs

    we did pretty good bo too bad i broke one off on 30 lb test when i set the hook that could have been our hog. later buddy

    mako, it was cut gizzard shad midsections to be exact we throw heads and tails in our trash bucket then throw all fish scraps in water to feed em and get em fat when we leave lol and we empty the bait tank in our fishing hole that might be why we catch em there their used to getting fed lol. hope that helps u some.

    Good fish guys! I tell ya what though, I certainly wouldn't be throwing those heads away, those are some great bait but hey ya'll are doing just fine without my input:smile2: Keep getting 'em!!
