New NC State Record Channel Cat!!!

    It's a former state record channel catfish that is now the new state record.

    To further complicate matter it was caught in the 70's.

    Very interesting.....Mr.Bowden seems a smart fellow (keeping all his documentation) and a good fisherman as well. I enjoyed reading the report.

    23 lbs 4 oz could quite possibly remain the record a li'l longer than he predicts. I kinda hope so; he deserves a bit of time in the limelight imo.

    It's definetly been a crazy past year or two in the channel catfish records here in NC. I agree that it will probably be a while before that record is broken again.
