On Dec. 9, 2007, Buck Stikeleather was fishing some deep structure and caught a one pound 13 oz. white crappie on Lake Norman. It has been certified by the state and is now offical. Lake Norman has black crappie also with some as large as 3.5 pounds being caught in the recent past, but not of late.

He stated in the newspaper article that he is now going to go for the channel cat record. Good luck Buck.

That is a nice crappie, but less than 2lbs on a white crappie is your state record? That seems pretty low!
