During this last change of format for the site there seems to have been a
lot of changes, including that the site is not named the Brotherhood of
Catfishermen anymore. I kept my mouth shut and tried to deal with the
new mechanics of button pushing for a while, but it continues to bother
me. I don't remember being sent any notification of this technical shift in
identity and folks posting on the Kansas Forum are behaving like nothing is
different. I know the old site has been revived by some of the folks that
wanted some different rules of conduct including limiting discussion to
purely fishing topics. Does that mean they are in competition with this
site and we are never to mention their existance sort of like old sponsors
who bailed on us for some reason? I kind of like being a Brother and the
image of being part of a Mafia sort of disturbs me. So where we at on this?

    Thats a good question Michael.
I dont really know the answer. It will always be the BoC to me. I know it has changed a few times in the past, and that its not really that big of a deal. Paul had a video explainin everything but it looked more like a commercial to me so I didnt watch all of it.:excruciating:
All I can say is that I hope they dont start chargin us to come here.:rotfl:
It will be a good topic at the lead pour.:foot-in-mouth:
    :Money::wink:

The funny thing is, the old site (2005 and older) was called the Brotherhood Of Catfishermen. The new site was Catfish1.com, and you had to dig pretty deep to find the word "Brotherhood" anywhere. It's like nobody even noticed the branding change, and we all just kept calling it the B.O.C. I wouldn't sweat the changes until we see what they really are. What we have seen so far is the first stage of the software update, from past experience it may be several weeks before we see the final layout.

As far as the old site, Paul has posted encouragement for people to go over there and participate. He owns both, so I don't see it ever becoming a problem.

Ray, I think that "Settings" is the same thing, I'm not 100% sure it has everything "User CP" had, but it's pretty close.

Guys it will always be a duel branded entity, with USCA getting the new spotlight.

The BOC is a registered SM/TD with the USPTO, it isn't going anywhere.

Like anything in life, the BOC/USCA has people that do not like to see us grow, and some people have animosity towards us because of a hand-slapping they received long ago.

Just like in the Army, there is a continual roll-out and development of new equipment and tactics to stay ahead of outside influence.

We will always be looking ahead, rather than looking back.

Some of you guys have been with me for a very long time, and each time we have came out of a development and growth cycle we improved.

We have to push again, because if we dont, somebody else will.

As for the old BOC, as Gary said, it falls under the the same umbrella.

We have Staff there trying to get it kick started once again, feel free to go over and participate.

Long as things go smoothly I really don't care what the name is.As long a s I don't get booted out and left behind. Can't always remember to say U.S.C.A. so I just keep on saying B.O.C.
Keep up the good work Paul..

It's not the name that makes us what we are, it's US!. It's a lot easier on my mouth saying "Bock (phonetic spelling)" than "Uska(phonetic spelling)" BOC doesn't sound like an STD either:rotfl:
Don't know how to get to the old site, not really interested in going there, all the folks I know and love:love: are here, nothing else matters.
Since I found Pauls work, I can't remember all the changes, got pissed off every time too, cause just about the time I figured out how to negotiate it, he'd change the damn thing. I think it was an EM :soldier:thing just screwing with the commissioned folks.:rotfl:
