I just got in from OKC with a 2002 Merc 3.3 hp two cycle. It's cherry, and I'm pumped, but I don't have an owner's manual. I'll order the manual, but until I get it in my mitts, can you guys tell me anything about this motor?

The only specific question I have is fuel:eek:il ratio...I'm assuming 50:1. Is that right?

50:1 is what it should be and if the water pump impeller hasn't been changed then do that and service the lower unit while you are at it.

Some of the newer 2 stroke motors are 100:1, but most dealers will tell you to run them at 50:1 because they will run better. The 100:1 ratio is too lean to keep the rings lubed and working properly. Good luck.
