Hi all, I'm a new member here on BOC, Id like to thank Neocats for turning me onto this site, and I think I already knida know some of the members here from OGF. Ive been reading alot of great info on here and figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Chris Gates, I'm 28, and I regularly catfish around Central Ohio, with Hoover and the Scioto being my main spots. I started seriously targeting catfish about four years ago and at the beginning of last year I bought an old 14 ft semi-vee which I overhauled and rigged out for cattin. I also started fishing in a local club tournament, COCC. I almost always use fresh caught shad as my bait of choice, and practice CPR on all my catches, weirdly enough I don't really care for wild catfish, but Ive been told I just haven't had it cooked right yet. So far my PB's were both caught this year and I hope they don't make it through the season. My best channel went 12# and my best Flathead was 23#. I know I have a long way to go but I aspire to become a Pro at this one day. I look forward to checking out the catfish expo in 2009, to learn about big rivers. I hope to see this sport progress even further than it has. I also try to keep a Myspace profile going, my team name is Kat Boyz. I try to keep pics updated but the blogs are behind a while. http://www.myspace.com/katboyz. Well I look forward to sharing some reports, tips, and banter with ya fellas and Good Luck to all.
