Ok , I do live in SC., but I grew in NC. I live in North Myrtle, SC and work in Calabash, NC. Camp out & fish at Baden Lake a couple times a year. Been a BOTL. Happy to be a B.O.C. Great site. Sure I will learn alot here.

Haven't heard of any monsters around here. I don't catfish very often around here, but I've had some fun on the intercoastal and I've heard of 40 pounders caught outa there. Also the Waccamaw River has some good fishing and I've heard tell of 50+ pounders in there. The Waccamaw comes out of Lake Waccamaw near Whiteville, NC and spills into the intercostal down below Myrtle. I have never eaten anything out of the river or intercoastal, but I know Brunswick & Columbus County boys that ain't afraid of no mercury. I guess the Cape Fear is the place to go.
