Welcome aboard Dustin. We need all the MO members we can get. LOL
I live not far from you, in Arnold. I understand you fishing Big River, it does have some nice catfish if you can find them. Wappapelow? Not so sure. I gave up on that lake years ago, just to hard to find good holes. Geroge Winter? I know of several folks who fish out of there regularly and they do find catfish. As for me, I gave up on that river too. I know they are there, but I couldn't find them. I used to fish a lot up around Alton/Wooodriver a lot. Anymore, I am too afraid of leaving the truck/trailor at the ramps. Every year I make it a point to go up the IL river to Hardin. I know of a fantastic place up there for jugging. These days, I have only been fishing the Mississippi down around Festus. Haven't hit the motherload yet, but they are in that stretch for sure. Not many big flatheads, but blues can grow quite big in that stretch.

I do a lot of limb lines on big river down by House Springs using live gills on like a 5/0 circle hook catch a lot of 8 pound channells my girlfriend grandpa caught a 38 pound flathead there 2 years ago. gotta love it when you go check your lines and ther like 5 feet up in the tree with no bait. I think there is 50-80 pound catfish in the Big River

nice to meet all you guys
