We have five new members signed up for our club outing tomorrow (2-16-08). WylieCat and myself will furnish the boats, bait and equipment and hopefully the fishing gods will furnish the blues and maybe a flathead.

If there are any other new members out there that would like to join us, just send WylieCat and myself (LakeNormanBlues) a PM and we will set you up for the trip.

The purpose of this trip is to educate, entertain and enjoy the fish that we catch. Results tomorrow, if we have anything to report.

Thanks to WylieCat and his partner Billfish76 (Cary) we had a sucessful Seminar On The Water with Lance, Phil, Jude, Melvin and Jeff. They learned how to drift, tie knots, bait selection, drifting speed and on and on and on. I think everybody had a good time. Photo of graduating CCC class is attached.

PS, all the new members got to catch them some blues.

Great job folks!

We had a great time. I hope everyone learned something. Talking about things in a seminar is one thing, but seeing it happen, seeing it work, and then catching fish is another thing. :smile2:

Fishing condtiions were tough, but we managed to net a few. Maybe by spring we can do another one once the bit picks up.

It was fun out there today, I just wish the fish wanted to eat. I hope all the guys learned something new. Like Wyliecat said, hearing something in a room of people and then trying it on your own, I think is a lot harder than seeing the same things talked about in action. I think we were able to answer about every question that the guys had.

I wouldnt mind doing it again when the bite picks up alittle...

Teamhillbilly, we would welcome you to our club. The fishing trip might not happen right off, but as soon as we gain two or three additional members I'm sure we will provide an On The Water Seminar for the new members.
