I want to put 10# spider wire stealth on a calcutta 50 and on a abu garcia morrum is there a special way to do so? Do I need any kind of backing or can I spool it on normally?

Either put a mono backing on first or you can do this. Start the braid a couple of wraps and put a small piece of electrical tape over it and keep winding. This will keep the braid from slipping on the reel, also make sure you wind it TIGHT on the reel. The tighter the better. :cool2:

You'd think by now the industry would have figured this out, and put holes in the arbor to facilitate the use of braid.

    You'd be wrong.

So yeah, 'bout two layers of mono, then the braid.

They have on some but that would interfere with the arbor.
