i went and checked my minnow trap today and i found something that i didnt know what it was. i caught some shiners and just some regular creek minnows but some of the fish were spotted with a kinda bright green fin on them. does anybody know what these are? do they make good bait fish? somebody told me that fish wouldnt hit them so i wanted to check on here.

    thanks for any help.

Better try an figure out what it is or you might be usin an endangered /threatened species an that could cost ya a bunch.

Dont know where you live or if you live near the coast but a mud minnow kinda fits that description, really need to see it though.

i stay in virginia about 10 minutes from the nc border. im not near any coast. i caught them from a creek in the woods. its not very big at all.the water was barely deep enough to cover the minnow trap. they werent but about 3 inches long.
