Well, as many of you know I lost my job back in May. In July I started working for a company I had worked for back in 98-2001. It has been very awkward as they were bought out by another company, and the base pay dropped quite a bit. I'm also working under several people that I hired back in the day, that tooo has been akward. Well, as of Monday, OCT 22 I will be starting a new job. Deffinately in a different direction. I will be working for a small reproduction company. They have a whopping 9 employees. They mainly reproduce blueprints, and large files not able to be printed on standard printers. However, my postion will be spending 1/2 a day in their small forms department. In the small forms department, I will be scanning in regular sized documents, and printing them and binding them. The other 1/2 of a day will be spent being their IT guy. Handling their 2 servers, their website, their ftp site, and helping to integrate their new software package into production to help increase the productivity of the printers/scanners they are currently using. I won't be dealing with the general public nearly as much, and will be more in a support/admin position. I'm really excited and looking forward to this new opportunity. The fact that I will be working for a small company, means I'll actually be a person, and not just a number. Also, when they gave me their benefit sheet, at the top it explained that "They feel each employee is brought to them in HIS perfect timing." That means a lot to me. Wish me luck.
