I wonder if this is how the last one started? Another 3-4 inches of snow this morning, it's getting harder to figure out where to shovel it. Forecast says more arctic temps, and possibly another major snowstorm starting on Wednesday.

I'm thinking about going down to the river and fishing for awhile :smile2:

Here's a little ditty some one emailed me, I think it's appropriate right now:smile2:

It's winter here in Kansas ,

    And the gentle breezes blow,

    Seventy miles an hour,

    At twenty-five below.

Oh, how I love Kansas ,

When the snow's up to your butt,

You take a breath of winter,

And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful,

So, I guess I'll hang around,

I could never leave dear Kansas,

Cause my butt is froze to the ground!

You guys need to suck it up and get out there! Morris and I are going fishing next weekend with the heatwave, high of 8 degrees forcast for Saturday. Not sure where we are going but we will make another video for sure! Chris

    Chris,

You guys must have some open water down at the lake, lol. We would need our own icebreaker.

Yeah, I imagine that by the weekend the ice would be thick enuff to hold an
ageing fat man like me. I don't know anybody that even has an ice auger
and up until now it seemed sort of like buying a surf board for local use.
Last time I icefished was around 40 years ago in a farmpond near
Hiawatha, KS. Caught around a dozen crappie the biggest a little over
a pound and a half. Lovely fish all of them. Tasted, well, perfect! No muddy
backround flavor. Used an engineer's shovel to bust into the 10in ice. Was
too excited to notice the subzero cold for the first hour or so. Then I
couldn't get my hands to work right, gathered up my frozen fish and left.
