Welcome to the Brotherhood.
Around here (Indiana) i use nothing but fish. I use skipjack, shad, creek chub, bluegill, sucker chub, bullheads, etc. I feel that BIG catfish are used to these baits and will most readily hit them. But I have had good luck with worms for small channels. Let us know more specifics and we can help more. tight lines!
Welcome to the BOC Will.
howdy. blues-shrimp and bream, flatheads- liver, worms, shrimp. channels-liver, bream, worms, shrimp. thats what i use. if your fishing lakes just try stuff out, the cats will eat about anything that smells good to them. good luck.
i'm pretty new here, but i like hotdogs, but sliced bread and butter pickles, some berkley dough bait, as a last resort, and cut up fresh fish. fresh fish is the best, but dead minnows work
Welcome to the BOC. from Arkansas.
Welcome from Illinois. I would recommend some kind of cut bait.
Welcome from Texas good place to be any time. Thanks Sam Davis
Welcome to the BOC!
I've used cut bluegill, shad, nightcrawlers, dough baits, dip baits... Pretty much anything I can get my hands on... of course, keep in mind I'm fishin' in a farily small lake with lightweight gear for eatin' size channels. I'm skeered to death of those big ol' blues that the other guys are pullin' outta the water...
bacon........ fry it up just enough to get the grease flowing and cover it in garlic powder.
Welcome to BOC.
I'm a little late but welcome aboard. If you havent tried shad or skipjack guts give it a whirl, has worked great for me.
