I love crappie fishing but when you have to fish from the bank
Crappie fishing can be tough. Thought I would learn how to catch Blue cats. Found this site and strated learning how to do it. Taking what I learned here I'v been doing good. Have caught some nice size fish from 2 to 12 lb. That was until wed. Using circle hooks and shad head I caught this 28lb. A great catch for me. Just wont'ed to think you guys for all the info. Knowing how to get started gives you confidence. Caught 7lb the first time I tried for cats. Rick

Rick welcome to the BOC and nice fish! I have learned so much since coming here several years ago. I caught mostly small fish in the 5 pound range then applied what I learned here and then went to the ten pound range. Then finally bigger and better. The one thing I will leave you with is to go to a gathering and meet up face to face with some of your BOC brothers and sisters. You will never regret doing it.

Thanks Guys glad to be here. Got a cold last Thursday just now getting better. Front came through this morning. Maybe they will be bitting tomorrow. I will give it a try. I'm down here in South Texas and fish at Lake Corpus Christi. Good catfish lake. Not much fishing pressure. Our lake is still way down form the drought we had this summer but the catfishing has been good. Thanks Rick
