i am rather new to the catfishing sport. i have been bass fishing for over a year , but the few times i went for catfish i loved it. so i decided to go to roosevelt this weekend. probably going to catch bluegill for bait, and maybe some water dogs. the only problem i have is i am not sure where to find the catfish. i am not neccesarily looking for spots, but more of guidance as to what parts of the lake the catfish will relate to this timeof year. any advice would be great before i sit down and look at my maps. thx in advance!

water temps should be still okay for normal flat fishing. Transition water is my favorite from 5-30 feet. Sliding sinker 20 inch 30lb leader, 25-30 main line and a big ass sharp hook 6/0 gami or 10/0 kink kale. Bigest gills or green sunnies and of course small live carp or large carp steaks sections with the bloody gills. Good luck and welcome to the brotherhood.
