New depth finder - changing transducer?

    hello all at the boc im getting a new depth finder for christmas and im wondering if i have to change my transponder?:eek:oooh:

    The "transducer" actually. The answer is yes, probably... Some models from the same brand can use the same transducers, but its hit and miss. If you switch depthfinder brands you will have to change transducers for sure.

    Like Gary said, probably. What do you have now and what are you getting? Most of them come with a transducer.

    right now im running the eagle (cudda) and im getting a humminbird 556
    think im ready for a better moldel the cuda is ok but it doesnt show me real time data like where my lines at so its time for a up grade so i asked misses clauses for it:wink:

    Nate those two brand have different transducers and cords. You will have to change both. Congrats on the new Hummingbird.
