Cabela's sent me a whiz-bang "special edition" *hardback* version of their spring catalog. Very nice with tabs to separate the different sections. It'll make good material for the reading room.

The note with it says it's only being sent to "select anglers and hunters" -- and that must be a sign that I've spent *way* too much money there in the last year or so...

Trying to explain to my wife that haven't spent too much money, I'm just a "good" customer.

    She's not buying it...

It means you will catch more, as you will have money to pay for high gas prices :embarassed:

I never got one of those before I switched to BP. I think bass pro is alot cheaper and is just as good. They don't have to pay for hard coverd mags.

I've got a couple of those hard backs from Cabela's, they send out more regular catalogs than my wife's shoe stores!:sad2:

They do have the best mail order warranty, they replaced my Lowrance 480 after I'd had it 6 months. Returned underwater cameras several times.. they paid shipping on all. I've never been to one of their stores. We went by one in Fort Worth but didn't have time to stop. I'll take the time next time.

Since the local Cabelas opened up last december, I go there between 3-5 times a week. Im now on a first name basis with the staff in the fishing dept, and one guy asked me if I wanted a job there. Im sure I would abuse the employee discount quickly!
