Since i made this same post and ended up selling my last boat which i regret. Here i am again only because i got a really good deal on this boat at least i think so.

It is a 1968 Starcraft Deep V Aluminum 16' that has been completely redone. It is not perfect but for the price i got it for hopefully its at least dependable. It has a 1973 70hp Johnson, A mariner trolling motor (dont know the # thrust), a older Hummingbird LCR1000 fishfinder, 2 batteries.

Work done. Its been painted a charcoal/white metal flake that looks really good i think behind my Hummer. Interior completely redone with wood/carpeting/vinyl. Transom wood was all replaced last year.

Only problem i have found so far is the engine doesnt want to turn very far left so it will be making wide left turns. What could be the issue?

Steering cable jammed, been improperly replaced, needs adjusted, wrong length?

Teeth on the steering wheel gear sheared, missing?

Ya Paul im thinking wrong length that bar is pretty much as far as it can go. I forgot the engine actually was not locked down but i dont know if that will change much i will check it in the morning.

We took her out last night and a smooth ride, and giddy up and go too! She's a big river boat for sure!

Ya so we hit up Prairie Creek Res. First trip on the new boat and the trailer is kinda high making it a little harder to trailer on/off.

It died a few times in reverse. Forward this boat rides WAY better than my Lowe 16' . I mean the front end doesn't come up and it planes out like no other and rides even choppy water smooth.

I had my trailer lights quit working after being in the water so i did a whole LED light kit on it and i have at the marina getting a look over on the engine and the whole not turning as far left as she does right.

It will be a great Ohio river boat!

I caught the first fish on the boat. Doug caught a bigger one not long before we left. Here is some pics sorry for the quality i forgot my camera so had to use the phone.
