Gonna try something new for a bait soak. Usually use anise to soak chicken gizzards in for when I can't find shad. I've got a bullhead in a 50gal aqurium that we've had for 5+ years. The kids caught him when he was the size of a tadpole. He's a couple of pounds now. Anyway we had some vegatable based soup stock concetrate in the frig we've had for a while and never used. It's like a paste made up of soy, garlic and other things. I took a dab and put it in the tank on the opposite side of the fish and in about 3 seconds he was at the top looking for it. He finally found it were it had sunk to the bottom.
