I have a Shimano Sadona 2500. Looking for a low dollar rod but not low quality. 7'6" to 8'6" I will be using it for surf fishing and for lake trout fishing primarily. Max I can spend is $50. Need your guys help.
    Thanks

Just go to a fishing store that doesn't sell the high dollar equipment, I buy my cheap poles at a place that sells electronics, and fishing stuff. What a combo. I get 5 1/2 ft to 7 ft rods for about 11 bucks. They ain't fancy, but they work. Rapala has a cheap 7 ft ultra light rod out, its not too expensive. Turners Outdoorsman has inexpensive equipment too. Also Walmart.

If you have a Gander Mtn. or Acadamey Sports in your area check them out. They usually carry a decent assortment of rods. You might look at basspro.com and check them out. You should have a wide selection to choose from there.

I've seen some big Berkley rods at these retailers that would probably fit your price range.
