I landed my largest blue cat today, while fishing alone. The monster was caught, netted, and taken to a dock where he was measured, photograped, burped (twice), and released safely. This blue cat measured 53 inches long, with a girth of 32 inches. Unfortunately, there were only 2 older gentlemen at the dock, and it was impossible to weigh him. Would any of the brothers have some idea of his weight with those dimentions? I'm estimating between 90 to 100 lbs. Thanks, Fast Frank

length x girth x girth/ 700 I believe is how they do it Frank, but don't quote me on it. So he should have been 77.53 lbs. the way that is figured I think. Great fish no matter what, Way to go!!!

Frank, Once they get that big it doesn't matter about pounds and ounces, just enjoy the fact that you caught an awesome fish. Good Job...W

Frank, nice fish!! Must admit I'm a little jealous. The formula is as follows; (G^2xS)/800=weight 32x32=1024x53=54272/800=67.84lbs G=girth in inches S=short measurement in inches hope that helps you out, and once again congrats on an awesome fish!!!

yeah that's about 75lbs .. congratulations on such a huge catch! when do we get to see pictures? that's how i got the weight of my biggest .. it bottomed out my 50lb scale with ease so i ended up taking measurements to figure it out
