Need info

    I have a chance to buy a older fiberglass boat motor and trailor for 600 dollars but I need to know what to look at and such to make sure it is a good ass a buy as it sounds it supposed to have 2 hours on new heads but I know it has set for at least a couple of years any help I can get would be greatly appreciated:confused2:

    Richard do a compression check on the motor and a spart test. After sitting that long the carbs are going to have to be soaked and rebuilt. Check the lower unit for water intrusion.
    As for the boat look for cracks in the hull and soft spots in the floor. If it has soft spots you can almost bet the stringers are going also.

    What kind of a motor is it.

    Be sure of what your doing or else you just might geat an expensive project.
    You might want to take someone with you who knows about motors and boats.

    When your checking that boat and motor out, don't ingore the trailer, I did and it took the bargin right outta da deal.
