I need help finding a camp ground around warsaw if possible. I was going to camp at smithville lake this week to stay close to home because of family coming in from Alanta on thursday. But went up tonight and camp grounds are full except some spots i didnt like and was told by the time i got the 5th wheel up there on tuesday all would be gone. I really wanted to go to warsaw or oceola anyway. Rather go to warsaw. Plans changed Wife no happy but oh well i am fishing this week on vacation. If possible a name of camp gound and maybe phone number or town close to it so i can call and check out when i come down to warsaw on saturday for tourny. I really appreciate the help in advance.

With the lake being up so high, most campgrounds on Truman Lake are closed. So check before you come.

Truman State Park is up high so shouldn't be closed. It'd be my first choice, though you couldn't pay me to be there during the July 4 holiday. http://www.mostateparks.com/trumanpark.htm

Osage Bluff: South of Warsaw on hwy 83, nice place. Some sites may be closed: http://www.recreation.gov/camping/O...ode=NRSO&parkId=73311&topTabIndex=CampingSpot

Long Shoal, Windsor Cossing, Bucksaw Point are closed. Sterett Creek doesn't say it's closed, but I can't imagine that it's really open. Other outlying campgrounds are also probably closed.

Below the dam, you might be able to get a spot at Pecan Grove Campground http://www.findparks.info/Pecan_Grove_Campground_15952
