I will be at lake Fort Gibson with my granpa this weekend for a fish fry with his church. We set juglines for catfish but I was wodering if the Blue catfish will be in the coves because our cabins our in the middle of a large cove but thats not usualy where we set our juglines. I will have frozen shad and fresh bluegill to use as bait.

They should be shallow, in 2-3 foot of water. Find a creek that runs into the lake and set you jug lines where the creek enters the lake, start in 2 foot of water and work towards the lake to about 6 foot

Ok thanks! I also forgot to mention that I will be bank fishing in the cove and we will set out trotlines where we normally do wich i think is pretty shallow.
