Bentley, If you are talking about the Argosy, there is a little park just east of the casino with easy bank access. Just take the little road that goes through the casino area (Argosy Parkway) and keep going. You will see the turn into E.F. Young Riverfront Park. Drive back past the soccer fields to where the river walk starts. Lots of easy bank access.

This is probably the best "easy" bank access you will find on the river in the entire area. There is a wing dam, a sand bar, and probably a quarter mile of accessible bank.

There is another place in Parkville, at English Landing Park. The best bet there is off to the right from the old boat ramp, where the little creek dumps in. Just be prepared to walk a little further, and since it's right next to the main trail you will have some one stopping by to ask how the fishing is about every 5 minutes.

you can also turn on riverfront road by sears. if your coming from I70 on front st. you will take a right...there is an entrance to a park there that has lots of structure and wing damns. i fished in the rain a lil yesterday. behind argosy...under a bridge near there and on that 1/4 mile of access at the park...caught a 6 lb blue on shad sides...by the time i found the access by sears it was raining heavy so i casted on the boat ramp, put my poles in rod holders and sat in my van and watched my poles. no luck...with a lil walking near the sears park it looks like some great fishing.

I fished behind argosy yesterday, got a few sturgeon-fun to catch anyway. set a few lines in creek coming from casino- nutting there- bummer- would love to be fishing it right now in the rain though, bet the cats would be piled up in the feeder creeks. i was out there this afternoon checking my lines with the lighting all around- a little scary.
I gotta find that riverfront park you all are talking about. if i end up living in liberty, i might be a little closer to it than out by the airport where i am now.
If ya see a little red car out behind argosy, say hi. I got a rental car right now with illinois plates. hopew they dont mind it smelling like fish!!!!!

Hey if you are not doing anything this Saturday come on down to Kaw point. The tournament weigh in is at 3pm. There will be a lot of BOC members there for you to meet that are die hard river fishermen.
