Price wise, the rough guesstimates in Central Oklahoma is $2,200. to rebuild that motor. The Pro's would be you then would know what you got, the Con's are you can buy a boat, same motor, and trailer for $700.00 to $1000.00, but not know what you have.

If you do not know the person pr shop that does the rebuild you still do not know what you have.

I can send you a link to a place right out side of sparta and before smithville that will swap out power heads with you. They do good work.

Best way to go, like Bubba says. Most marine shops swap out your power head for a rebuilt power head with a gaurantee.

It'll have all the upgrades. All that will happen is your powerhead components, get put on the new power head.

Flywheel, stator, starter, solenoid, rectifier, coils, carbs, fuel pump, and wiring harness, are from the old block.

And you should have a new water pump installed to be a fresh engine.
