need bait

    anybody know where and how to catch creek chubs and white sucker around the new albany/louisville area? I'd sure appreciate any suggestions.

    im not sure about down there but we catch them on a very small hook and worm or bee moth

    thanks for the tip. I'll try that. I mainly use shad or bluegill for cut bait here but i keep reading about sucker in "in-fisherman" and on there videos. gotta try it.

    worms should do it i've always caught them with worms at least that works in my neck of the woods

    im after channels,blues and flatheads in the ohio river and silver creek(silver creek is a large creek that feeds in & out of the ohio.

    you could also use a minnow trap they are very interesting to see after u pull them up

    you guys ever heard of looking for "patches" of zooplankton in the water? I guess theres also some light you can put in the water that attracts the zooplankton which attracts small bait fish like what were talking about. Never seen the "light". I know you can use any water proof light to do all that. I saw some video on you tube where this guy tells people the "secret catfishing weapon" secret.:eek:oooh:

    use a utral lite pole small hook and bee moth you will l catch creek chubs

    I do have some shad & creek shubs in the freezer & I need help to use'em up!:wink:
