    I have an '06 Yamaha F60TLR.

I see Yamaha actually produces an SAE90 Gear Oil under the Yamalube name, but it seems it's only carried over in Europe based on my web searches.

I see alot of #(75,80...)W90 gear oils. I would prefer straight SAE 90 since that's what my owners manual states.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks guys!

All the marine rated synthetics are good, and most all the non thynsetics are fine too, If changed on a regular basis. Don't worry alot about the lower gear oil. get a good quality one and keep it changed regularly.

Once a season should do just fine for the changes.

To add a little to what bob is saying here it is best to do it in the fall of the year and that way if any water intrusion has occured you have removed it before it has a chance to freeze.
