Im here and in the Holdreg Ne area I do a lot of fishing on the 90mi canal Johnson Lake, Gallagers Canyon, Midway, Plum Creek, Sandy Channels, Platte River south of Elm Creek. Have not been to Harlan Reservoir yet but have been many others Calamus Resevoir and Branched oaks have got to be my favorite. Have fished tournaments at both of those lakes and were tight weights between first and second 4-7 oz seperation. I am more then willing to give tips to anyone wanting, the Reason I picked walleye as my name is cause I prefer to eat eyes but I love catching cats especially mid winter when everything else looses its spunk a cat still fights to the death lol. I came here for some info on loop canal system I love fishin moving waters for cats and eyes both.

Yes the 90 mile is the tri county its just not called tri county till it hits lexington, there are a lot of checks from where it comes off of mccon~~ but the best place I have found on that system for cats and flats has to be at a low bridge coming between gallagers canyon and plum creek had one last year that broke my 80lb power pro like it was sewing thread on an 8'' live shad. never got to see it, it was about 230 am and my fire was low i heard it surface a few times and it damn near sounded like a beaver slapping the surface but I know it was a big flat come up fast and went down faster fought it almost 20 minutes till he or more then likely she got me wrapped around the bridge. I had a friend of mine from south dakota with me I left with a bruise on my stomache from my rod the size of a softball. I had my Flat rod set out while we were night fishing crappies. but I am in Holdrege Ne, so seeing you guys out there more then once every couple months prolly wont happen I have 5 mouths to feed in my house and work a crap job right now.
