DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A RAMP ABOVE COLUMBIA BOTTOMS AND HOW FAR:sad2:
Theres one in a park just off old halls ferry road and then the next one is a privately owned ramp just out of west alton. The next one is st. charles. The private one is owned by Gene Beckam. You put 5 dollars in the box and go on your honor. I dont recall the name of the park though. The ramp is at the bottom of Pelican Island
Sioux Passage Park is the park you're talking about. It's out on Old Jamestown Rd. across from Pelican Island.
Where is this Columbia bottoms?
Take 270 E like you're headed into Illinois. As you approach the Mississippi River get off at the last Missouri exit, which is Riverview, and go left (north). Stay northbound on Riverview and it will take you right to the Columbia Bottoms Conservation Area.
how do I find Gene Beckhams boat ramp?
I think this is the ramp they are talking about.
Sioux passage but it closes at dark
the gravel rd that skirts around the paved rd into Columbia bottoms has just opened
has anyone used this private ramp they are talking about this year?
Does that mean the ramp is open?
Thats good news for sure!
I'm pretty sure Columbia bottoms access is not usable for a while. The road may be, and other uses might be open, but not the ramp. At least this is what I am hearing from other fishermen.
Hey rob, it's good to see you posting again! Glad to see your catching them, too.
Not even close to being open
