Well, I didn't get interested in NASCAR until the late 80s, so I did not see some of those races. Out of the ones I DID see (and even though I was never a SR. FAN really), I have to go with Earnhardt winnin' the 500 too. :cool2:

AAAwwww come on guys. Everybodies favorite race should be a Bristol race...any Bristol race....pick a Bristol race.

Anyway, I thought that was a great race. Short track racin with the Intimidator and Terry pulls it off. BACKWARDS!!! Awesome.

    The 79 Daytona race.
It put NASCAR on the map with network coverage.
Up until that point the only race I had ever seen televised was the Daytona 500.
That was real racing back then.
We had permanent seats back in the 70's and early 80's at a few tracks.
You couldnt give me tickets to any race now.

It's like an apple pie. Once you've had the real thing a frozen Granny Smith don't cut it. You would rather do without.

I seldom watch races on TV anymore. I might watch bits and pieces or opt to listen to them on the radio while working at the shop.
Definately nothing there to warrant giving an afternoon for.

Anything with Earnhardt Sr. in it. I haven't watched many races since his death. I still remember that day watching the wreck and thinking How in the world did that kill him? Racing for me just hasn't been the same. :sad2: On the other hand...I love it when the # 24 loooooooooooses.:smile2::smile2::smile2::smile2::smile2::smile2::smile2:
