My trailer lights work but no running lights - Help please

    I JUST PUT NEW WIRING AND LIGHTS ON MY TRAILER AND EVERY THING WORKS BUT MY RUNNING LIGHTS? NEED SOME HELP!!!

    I assume you are referring to the running lights on the trailer, not the boat. Generally the running lights are screwed to the metal trailer frame, with the screw to metal forming the ground point. I have never liked the idea, personally, of grounding to the trailer. I have always ran a separate wire from the truck to the trailer, connecting it through the trailer wire plug. Then I run a separate ground wire to each of the lights, including the running lights. I am almost 99% sure your problem is that the light is not ground. Do yourself a favor and run separate grounding wires... it will pay for itself many, many times over by eliminating grounding problems.

    If it's not a bulb, it's the ground............or a cut wire.
