Is this thread I will be sharing my fishing report's and picture's for this year's Spring.

Let's start out with the trip from this afternoon. We went to the usual spot at the lake which is Eaton Ferry Bridge on Lake Gaston, NC. Well it was awesome weather, in the 60's and no wind which is a change....usually the wind on that lake is pretty bad. Well we had fresh Hickory Shad that we had caught in the river. We cut them into big chunk's and cut some into fillet's. We ended up hooking and getting a lot of bite's but only ended up with one fish which my dad caught and that was a 5lb Blue Cat. I had one that felt like a nice one that got me hung up while I was reeling him in. It's cool though, I'm sure I will catch my fair share of fish this Spring just as I did last year.;)

The first picture is my dad's blue cat from today, and the second two are from the river where we were fishing earlier for Channel cat's and Striper's.

Enjoy the picture's! Many more to come!

    Zakk,
I've always loved catching cats in N.C. when I used to live there.
I always went to Kinston lake out near Jacksonville and we always had good luck with the bigguns.
Wished I had pics from that back when I was a kid younger than you.

    Good luck bro

Yeah I really love this area for the fishing, because there's all types of fish and you can even go saltwater fishing with just an hour or two drive.

Glad you like the picture's Al, and Martin.

You have to have the pic's resized to like 400x400 or something like that. Then you just click on "Manage Attachments" under the "Additional Option's" section which is located under the "Submit Reply or Preview Post" button's.

    Did that help any?

If you need me to resize the pic's for you, just let me know. Or you can download the free progam Irfanview at www.Irfanview.com

Went to the river yesterday up to a dam that we usually catch a lot of nice Stripers and catfish at, but all we could get was a little bit of bait! Don't know what was wrong, took some pictures anyway though.

I went to the lake yesterday, fished about 2 hours, storms ran us out of there a little early. We fished with chunks of Gizzard Shad on the bottom, got some great runs, and one hook up, but landed nothing. The fish I did hook felt real big though, hard to tell for sure, but I'd say at least a 30 pound Blue.

Took a few pictures anyway though.

Yeah it was fun, the fishing was just very slow for some reason, a plain bad day. But yes the scenery is what made it fun. I'm going back this evening, hopefully they will be biting better!
