    Here is a link of a giant one estimated at 400 lbs by Larry Dahlberg:

    Thanks for all the welcomes guys!

    This species of catfish was very hard to find! Most places cannot get them in and even then requires a permit to bring them into this country.

    Myself and a few other guys who were able to get these baby ones are having a little contest to see how big they can get within 6 months!
    Currently mine is feeding on feeder guppies and goldfish......having a hard time at the moment getting it to take any frozens like silversides.
    :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::wink::wink:

    Yeah that youtube video was awesome........just shows you how big they can get. A friend has a 18,000 gallon pond setup for 4 of these babies!!!

    ok, maybe you got it al planned out, i am an aqaurium hobbiest so to house a fish and get it to 400 lbs you are gonna need a tank that is several thousand gallons, if you do decide to go to a big tank, how big are you ganna go, I am planning on making my own 1500 gallon tank, a few years down the road, maybe get sone flatheads and raise them in their, congrats on the new fish

    Hi guys, fish is tropical and likes temperature of around 80 degrees.

    Not sure about the pics, I used the insert image button and voila pictures showed up:roll_eyes:

    Yes, this fish has a lot of growing up to do! Who knows how old that piraiba that Larry Dahlberg caught was, maybe over 20+ years???
