Awesome rod! Looks great in the pics. Great materials and workmanship, in addition to the artistry. He will treasure that for a long time.

This is what another Custom Rod builder in Japan has to say about the megamags from gusa..after I showed him the pics and told him what type of fish I was building them for.

    colors look sharp.
BTW, what is the rod to be used for?
That blank is quite popular for our clients who fish largemouth bass. The megamag chucks the big swimbaits quite well. I am also building several of the mega mags heavier cousin, the Monster Mag. Again, clients will use them for big swimbaits for largemouth. What is the rod used for in the States?
    Nice work again..

Man you can jerk a bass around like a minnow with this stick..

Thanks Capt,,I guess you can use them for anything that swims,
By the way them Bass you post are some pigs Bro..I've caught my share of some that I thought were good bass but the biggest was a little under 8#..But I build the megas for Hvy Catfish ....anywhere from 1-120# the mega will do..
    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Catfish? Catifish rock. That is a big in in your avatar. I can see why you would need a Megamag for those pigs.
I like the megamag for bass, because bass live in some heavy cover. I use 80 pound spectra, with a 60 lb. fluoro leader for bass fishing, and I still get broke off.
I will say this about the strenght of the megamag:
Using 135lb. wire line (for trolling at Lake Casitas for largemouth) I pulled up a submerged peach tree!
Nice colors on the rod again-
