My son Robert and I are going to hit the Big Sandy River for a while Monday evening. I am going to leave early enough to catch some live bait, gills and chubs if I can find some. We have some frozen shad and skipjack. He is going to meet me once he gets off work and we're going fishin. Hopefully I'll get to bring back a great report.

I always enjoy time with my sons. Don't get to spend near as much time with them as I would like to with both of them working 6 days a week and family obligations it doesn't leave them much time. Thanks for all the well wishes and I will have a report on the return and hopefully a good one.

My son and I went fishing this evening in The Big Sandy River I started about 3:00 and he joined me about 5:30. We fished till 8:30 . We spent much needed quality time together and had a good time. The fish did not contribute to the cause in any way. We had bluegills, shad ,skipjack, and chicken liver for bait. We tried live and cut gills and all the other bait we had to offer to no avail. The fish just was not biting. We have always caught fish where we were or at least got some bites.
